Dr. Kamla is a conservation biologist and aquatic ecologist based in Cameroon, specializing in manatee conservation and aquatic biodiversity. He works with communities to develop citizen science approaches for monitoring water-dependent species in Lake Ossa and other freshwater ecosystems. ⁠ ⁠ Following the talk, we will head to First Magnitude Brewing Company for a social event to officially kick off the Center for African Studies Carter Conference!
