He leads a team responsible for developing and incorporating system-level solutions like autonomy, sense and act, and battery electric technology into machines so farmers and construction owners can increase the efficiency and sustainability of their operations. With connectivity acting as a cornerstone to these technology solutions, Ryan also supports Deere’s RFP for a satellite communications partner. This partner will enhance the connectivity that Deere is already delivering to its customers through its global satellite correction network, StarFire Network, and its Wi-Fi and cellular connected machines. The partnership will connect new and retrofitted machines, enabling Deere’s customers to be more productive and efficient, and increase food and fuel production for their communities and the world’s growing population. Throughout his over 20 years at Deere, Ryan has worked in product engineering, manufacturing, reliability engineering, and program management. He holds 7 patents and has helped bring over 40 different innovative solutions to the market. Ryan is also co-vice chair of the FCC’s Task Force for Reviewing the Connectivity and Technology Needs of Precision Agriculture in the United States. Ryan earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in business analytics from Iowa State University. From fighting to protect net neutrality to ensuring access to the internet for students caught in the Homework Gap, Jessica has been a consistent champion for connecting all. She is a leader in spectrum policy, developing new ways to support wireless services from Wi-Fi to video and the internet of things. She also is responsible for developing policies to help expand the reach of broadband to schools, libraries, hospitals, and households across the country. Rockefeller IV and Senator Daniel Inouye. Before entering public service, Jessica practiced communications law in Washington, DC. She is a native of Hartford, Connecticut. She is a graduate of Wesleyan University and New York University School of Law. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband and two children. Close Chris Sambar Head of NetworkAT&T Chris Sambar Head of Network, AT&T Chris Sambar, Executive Vice President – Technology Operations, is responsible for AT&T’s next generation wireless & wireline network planning, investment, AT&T’s long-term technical initiatives, infrastructure & cloud, tower strategy & roaming, engineering, construction & operations for consumer, business and government customers. Chris joined AT&T as part of the Leadership Development Program in 2002. Since then Chris has held positions in Network Operations, Business Solutions, Consumer Television, Retail & Wireless, Human Resources, Corporate Strategy and most recently, AT&T FirstNet. Chris holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science degree from The United States Naval Academy. Following graduation from the Naval Academy, he served 7 years on active duty and 16 years in the reserves with multiple deployments throughout Europe, the Middle East and one tour of duty during the Iraq war in 2005 and 2006.
