We develop a safety net for social platforms, detecting suicidal tendencies in online posts and offering users in need a caring intervention with relevant resources. Contact Us More than 700,000 people die by suicide every year, according to the WHO. Suicides are a major problem among young people. As indicated by the CDC, youth and young adults ages 10–24 account for 15% of all suicides. Among young adults aged 20-24, the suicide rate was 12.5% per 100,000 people in 2000. We connect those most vulnerable with real human beings who care, are there to listen and de-escalate the crisis. All the help we offer to users is free and provided with deep care about their anonymity, confidentiality, and privacy. One Life gives you support before it’s too late Interventions, designed together with a team of psychologists, clinical therapists, and suicidologists, are to be a link between people in crisis and specialists. As part of the designed messages, One Life, using Samurai Labs artificial intelligence, detects suicidal messages on social media platforms in real-time and redirects the person in crisis to verified organizations offering free and anonymous help all over the world.With the help of artificial intelligence, a database of places, helplines, and guides selected by experts, we reach those who were not previously possible to reach on such a scale. “Whoever saves one life saves the entire world.” Meet One Life TeamWe are an interdisciplinary team of professionals connected to suicidology, psychology, data science, and artificial intelligence. Our expertise spans from running a support platform for those in crisis to utilizing the abundance of social science research and combining it with 20+ years of experience in building artificial intelligence models to protect the mental health of online communities. The One Life project was created by Samurai Labs, an artificial intelligence lab with a mission is to prevent online harms before the damage is done. They protect children and online communities from online violence, including threats, harassment and cyberbullying. One Life is the result of a close partnership with “Życie Warte Jest Rozmowy”, an educational and support platform that has been supporting people in suicidal crisis for years.
