View fullsize Current projects OMICSENS aims to develop a groundbreaking omics measurement platform, initially focused on improving non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) prognosis by enabling timely and accurate detection of Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor (TKI) resistance linked to Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor (EGFR) mutations. As part of the project, 4K-MEMS is developing novel materials and SWIR emitter arrays. The platform will feature a nanophotonic biosensor, a highly absorbent nanochip for analyte detection, and a metamaterial-based detector with AI-driven analyte quantification. It will also incorporate a microfluidics system for efficient sample delivery and offer a customizable design to optimize treatments for various cancers. Learn more The HyperImage project aims to create a versatile, fast, and affordable spectral imaging platform for both long- and short-range applications. Key technical goals include developing new photonic components, high-performance sensors, and advanced tunable optics. 4K-MEMS is contributing by developing novel 1D emitter array modules for line illumination, enhancing the platform's capabilities. The project also focuses on modular designs for automated material analysis and quality control, integrating lightweight spectral imaging systems into robots and vehicles, and building a cloud-based platform for spectral image analysis. Ultimately, the project seeks to validate the technology in various industries and establish commercialization paths and European value chains for spectral imaging systems across key markets. Learn more EXQUISITEExploitation and Qualification of novel SWIR Emitters For the Startup Innovation Project, EXQUISITE, 4K-MEMS will focus on environmental stress testing and qualification, ensuring that its emitters meet industry standards for reliability and durability. The project will also involve expanding the company’s testing infrastructure and adding engineering talent to accelerate product development. This critical phase will bring 4K-MEMS' emitters closer to mass production, positioning them for adoption in devices such as handheld spectrometers, smartwatches, and industrial sensors.
