His generosity and support of Cinecon can’t be underestimated. His knowledge of film locations was unparalleled. The tours he provided to our attendees at no cost during the festivals were among the highlights of the weekends. Join us at the Writers Guild of America Theater in Beverly Hills for a weekend filled with timeless movie magic! For more than half a century, Cinephiles have gathered over Labor Day Weekend to celebrate the movies at the annual Cinecon Classic Film Festival. Cinecon is where archivists, authors, collectors, and film fans come together for four days of classic film & TV screenings, celebrity guests, and special programs. Now celebrating its 61st year, this year’s festival will be filled with some of the rarest and unusual material we’ve ever presented. To keep our festival affordable as we’ve always strived to do, we are presenting Cinecon 61 as a four-day festival without our opening night gala. Monday’s programming will be longer, so you will get the same amount of screen time as you would with our five-day schedule. All announced titles are subject to change and are pending final film clearances. Check back here on our website for film titles, schedule updates, hotel information, parking info, and more. You can check out information about our partner hotel in the EVENT INFO Section. DO YOU SHOW MODERN MOVIES? The focus of Cinecon centers around the golden age of Cinema – namely films made between the 1910s to the 1950s. Occasionally we will show films made up through the 1960s. CAN I GET A REFUND IF I CANNOT MAKE IT? We only offer refunds for the $299 Early Bird Full Festival Passes. These can be refunded until August 15, 2024. CAN I COME FOR JUST ONE DAY? YES!
