to the Managing Committee of IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics.Senior Researcher Kim Sangdong is named an IEEE Senior Member, a distinction awarded to only 10% of all IEEE members.This achievement holds great significance for both domestic academia and industry and is expected to enhance DGISTs international profile.DGIST (President Kunwoo Lee) has achieved notable recognition, with one researcher appointed to the Managing Committee of a prestigious American journal and another honored as an IEEE Senior Member.Professor Oh Sehoon from the Department of Robotics and Mechatronics Engineering has been appointed as a Managing Committee Member for IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, a leading interdisciplinary journal covering mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering, and control systems. It ranks in the top 5% of mechanical engineering journals.Professor Oh, internationally recognized for his outstanding research and contributions, is only the third Korean to join the committee. As one of six members, he will play a vital role in setting the journals direction, selecting the Editor-in-Chief, and overseeing the review and selection of papers submitted by top global researchers.In addition, Senior Researcher Kim Sangdong from the Division of Automotive Technology has been named an IEEE Senior Member, a distinction awarded to the top 10% of IEEE members. This honor recognizes individuals with over ten years of experience and notable achievements in electrical, electronic, telecommunications, and computer engineering. DGIST Holds University Innovation Discussion with Oxford University and Minerva University! - DGIST hosts the University Innovation Forum: Out of the Box to redefine the future role of universities and discuss the direction of university innovation.- Innovation leaders from top global universities, including the Pro Vice-Chancellor for Innovation from Oxford University and President of Minerva University, get together.DGIST (President Kunwoo Lee) announced that it successfully held the University Innovation Forum: Out of the Box on September 10 at the Crystal Ballroom in the Banyan Tree ClubMarking DGISTs 20th anniversary, the event was organized to redefine the future role of universities in a rapidly changing world and discuss the direction of university innovation. DGISTs President Lee Kunwoo and innovation leaders from top global universities attended the forum and shared a variety of perspectives on educational innovation.Key speakers included Chas Bountra, Pro Vice-Chancellor for Innovation at Oxford University, and Mike Magee, President of Minerva University. Led by Professor Lee Byung Jong of Sookmyung Womens University and including the earlier speakers and Yeom Jaeho, President of Taejae University, the panel discussed in depth the innovation strategies that universities around world are developing and how they will survive in the future.Professor Kang Hye-kyung of Open Cyber University of Korea said, It was truly impressive to see the worlds leading education innovators gather in one place to discuss the future.
