At first I was going to just play my old GBA titles on this, but after loading up my other consoles I realized that this little beast could run Dream Cast titles at a smooth 40fps! However I've been continuously blown away by this devices capabilities, I've been having so much fun playing games that I never even intend on playing on this system and I can't seem to put this device down other than to charge. 06/15/2024 RJ NEW ANBERNIC RG35XXSP My New Best Friend I’ve had a number of these types of retro handhelds and this one has quickly become my favorite. My first ever handheld game system was a GBA SP, so the fact that this one is modeled after that system gives me a comfort that hard to explain. The novelty cannot be understated. I tend to use custom operating systems on retro handhelds but for this one I’ve actually kept the stock OS because it’s got so many amazing features like quick shut down, bezels, auto joystick mapping, and more. I even use some of the common but lesser used features like the video player. The charm of watching a movie on a system that looks like a GBA SP is such a thrill. I’ve started bringing this thing everywhere I go now. I would recommend this console to anyone who grew up with a GBA SP, especially a silver one, because you will feel right at home. 06/15/2024 Emerson Palma ANBERNIC RG35XX Plus THE BEST RETRO CONSOLE! At first, I wasn’t sure if it the consul actually can run that many games, but it’s all true! I really love this console, because is so portable, you can actually put it in your pocket and doesn’t bother you at all. It’s so easy to load games in saves states. I love the ergonomics, it fits my medium sized hands perfectly and the sticks and D pad fall naturally under my fingers. This is easily the most comfortable handheld I've ever used. The screen is for lack of a better word perfect. AMOLED is the way to go for crisp visuals and beautiful looks. There's more than enough power to allow for use up to PS2 and even some low lever Switch games. " RG35XX IS THE BEST RETRO HANDHELD I GOT " and it also comes with a very good quality bag that i definitly recommend. they also have good colours my favorite was the transparent white 03/13/2024 Dishun Loh NEW ANBERNIC RG35XX H Fun little device Bought this device to make my work hrs fly by. I like the RG35XX H it plays a good majority of the retro games I have on it the only cons I have is the OS it comes with it doesn’t come with options to scrape images for the box arts of the games I have installed lack of other options for button settings the power button you’ll have to really hold it for a while before the green light comes on and the OS takes a very long time to load into the dashboard. I installed a new sd card from Sandisk 64gb and the 256gb the OS bricked the sd card had to reformat both sd cards 5 times and reinstalled the OS. So I definitely lost the included games it came with. But not the end of the world when installing the OS on any of my sd card it doesn’t partition it so when the OS is on 256gb it takes all the space and leaves nothing for ROMs or saved data. You’re forced to use 2 sd cards instead of one. Packaging builds a stage of premium products. Then you take it to your hand and the good feeling stays. It is NOT made of cheap plastic and you can feel it is right in your hand. Everything is nice and tight, buttons work amazing. On the road: Bought an original Anbernic pouch as a protection while placing the handheld in a backpack. RetroArch works fast. Being able to play MAME wherever I go is a game-changer :) In-home set-up: I have connected it via BT with 8bitDo Arcade Stick and hooked up via mini HDMI to my TV and... fast teleport punch with instant Scorpion's grappling hook in Mortal Kombat 3 Ultimate slam hard :) Battery life is my need and gamer profile. Downside: Not found any critical error or misdesign. While it is worth noticing that do not expect to run every PSP, and PS1 games smoothly, this is rather an option and a bridge to more powerful spec handhelds of Anbernic. Not sure how to handle the aspect ratio for some games while hooking it up to 16:9 tv. But this is probably on my side. Thank you Anbernic!
