Enjoy We create opportunities for all Americans to safely visit and play in our rivers through advocating for the right to float and other navigability laws, and more and improved access sites, and through the creation and distribution of river safety information. (WV) Big changes are likely on the way for the New River Dries–including 32 releases annually! Thanks to a proposed overhaul of the Hawksnest Hydropower Project, American Whitewater, outfitters, the state of West Virginia, and others have negotiated proposed additional releases for this awesome section of river.
