26 May Project Harnessing AI: empowering rural, remote and regional water utilities 26/05/26 This workshop is intended to help will share lessons from rural, and regional and remote water utilities understand practical approaches to using AI can help with, how it can be easily applied at low cost, whilst considering the primary, highlight practical approaches, identify clear constraints and guardrails, and connect participants to peers for shared learning. 3 August Community of Practice 2026 Metering Community of Practice Workshop 03/08/26 WSAA 2026 Metering Community of Practice – In-Person Workshop will be hosted by Unitywater. WSAA extends its sincere thanks to Mark McInnes for his support in making this workshop possible. This event marks an exciting event in Queensland after several years and represents an important opportunity to reconnect with the local and council-based water utilities in Queensland.

The workshop will bring together industry professionals from across Australia to share knowledge, explore key metering challenges, and discuss emerging innovations shaping the future of metering practices. It provides a valuable platform for collaboration, learning, and strengthening industry capability.

We strongly encourage council-based utilities across Queensland to take advantage of this opportunity to attend, connect with peers, and engage with subject matter experts from across Australia’s metering community.
