To be more precise, I love emulating PC titles and console games on Android phones. But since I'm used to Xbox-style controllers, the swapped ABXY button placements on Nintendo consoles have always given me loads of trouble. As such, when I reviewed the GameSir X4 Aileron, the swappable buttons quickly became one of my favorite features of the controller. GameSir's G8+ also has the ability to physically switch face buttons, and since that's the controller I mostly use these days, I don't have to battle my muscle memory when emulating games on my phone. I really wish this feature gets adopted en-masse by controller manufacturers. Ayush Ayush 3 days ago OEMs really need to stop duplicating settings that are already in Windows It's the same thing every time I set up a new laptop these days. Not only do I have to make sure the power plan is set correctly in Windows, but I have to comb through the app list to make sure there isn't an OEM app that gives me the option to change the performance settings in a different way. It's very frustrating to have to do this every time. Similarly, display settings can sometimes be duplicated in OEM apps, too. I recently vented about how display power saving options are bad, and on top of that Intel and AMD include these options in their drivers, despite Windows having the same setting. That may sound like a reviewer problem, but even for normal users, it makes it harder to get the experience you want in Windows. Even if you're not using multiple laptops in the span of a week, it still sucks to get used to doing something one way and then not know where that option is when you eventually get a new computer, or to think you've done enough to get the best performance only to João João 3 days ago 2 Working on a laptop has become hard for me I always used to tell myself that I didn't want to be picky in regards to what I need to work comfortably. When I started working in journalism, my laptop had a 1366x768 display, and I remember hearing a coworker say anything below 1080p was unusable. I told myself I'd never be that picky. I still try not to be, but as I've reviewed more and more products, especially aimed at desktop setups, it's become pretty hard to work on some laptops. It's mostly about the screen for me. Ever since I started using dual monitors, working on a single screen on my laptop has become increasingly hard. So much so that I ended up buying a portable monitor last year. I'm just so used to having at least two apps side by side that working on a single screen just isn't very comfortable, and having to switch between full-screen apps to get things done really adds up how much time it takes me to do things.
