Our district, which has an ISO fire rating of class 3, maintains a strong partnership with the community we serve as described by our mission statement.I work closely with the Fire Board to ensure that the district is a good steward of the taxpayer dollars – continuing to find ways to do more with less.  For example, we secured a grant from Governor’s Office of Highway Safety for the purchase of extrication equipment and recently secured a federal grant to help pay for our wildland fire fighting activities and provide base of operations for fighting wildfires.The Pinetop Fire District provides fire, emergency, and medical services to more than 9,500 residents with a seasonal population that can double to more than 20,000.  The district has 25 full-time fire fighters, 6 wildland specialists, and can employ up to two dozen seasonal employees depending on needs.  In addition to our career fire fighters our department has a public fire and life safety educator, training officer, and an administrative secretary who perform a variety of important roles.To accomplish our mission, we ask for your continued support and understanding of our operations.
