July 2024 brought more extreme weather and catastrophic flooding to Vermont, devastating numerous small businesses, particularly in the Northeast Kingdom. In response, The Fund is once again raising money and taking applications. Grants up to $2,500 are intended to cover operating expenses or costs such as equipment replacement, supplies, and help with clean-up. The Fund has already distributed these grants to dozens of businesses in the last few weeks but we need more contributions to continue this important work. Partnering with Capstone Community Action, our board will ensure your donations are tax-deductible and are being distributed responsibly. TAX-DEDUCTIBLE DONATIONS ON BEHALF OF VERMONT MAIN STREET FLOOD RECOVERY FUND CAN BE SENT TO CAPSTONE COMMUNITY ACTION VIA THIS LINK. AS OF AUGUST 12, 2024 WE HAVE PAUSED AWARDING GRANTS WHILE WE AWAIT ANTICIPATED DONATIONS. IF YOU ARE A SMALL BUSINESS AND WERE IMPACTED BY THE JULY, 2024 FLOODING YOU MAY APPLY AND WE WILL ONCE AGAIN BEGIN PROCESSING GRANTS AS THESE FUNDS ARE RECEIVED.
