In addition to deliberate derogatory actions, the population often lacks interest, knowledge, and opportunities to encounter queer people and to overcome prejudices. Raising awareness on the various barriers and disadvantages is urgently needed to promote diversity and inclusion; this requires information, education, and awareness on one’s own prejudices; in the project “Q-Learning” this sensitisation process took place. In cooperation with the group of beneficiaries themselves (queers/ respective LGBTIQA+) and subject experts, sensitisation workshops had been developed for people, who might deal with queer topics in their working fields.
