The Scientific Group for the UNFSS 2021 was a team of 28 food systems related scientists with a mandate from the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations. The Scientific Group functioned as an independent entity and members of the Scientific Group served in their personal capacities. As per the original mandate from the UN Secretary-General, the Scientific Group dissolved in December 2021 after successfully fulfilling its roles and functions in the lead-up to and follow-up for the UNFSS 2021. The website now serves as an archive of the activities as well as the research output produced by the Scientific Group and its global research partners. Information on the composition, membership, and meetings of the Scientific Group can also be found on this website. Also available are links to key events organized by the Group and its partners.
