Wood Cancer CenterBoard Certified in Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine.Dr. Gaiotti-Grubbs joined the C. R. Wood Cancer Center in July of 2009. She has been the Director of the Genetics Program since 2017. She is the Chair of the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for Clinical Research – serving in this role since 2011. She also serves as the Chair of the Ethics Committee – a role she has fulfilled since 2014. Dr. Gaiotti-Grubbs is an active member of the Cancer Committee serving as the Registry Quality Coordinator. Wood Cancer CenterBoard Certified in Oncology, Hematology and Internal Medicine.Dr. Gillani joined the C. R. Wood Cancer Center in July of 2004. He has been the Director of the Clinical Research Program since 2014. He is an active member of the Physician Advisory Group for Computerized Physician Order Entry and Electronic Medical records and the Blood Transfuion Committee. Dr. Gillani is the Physician Champion for clinical research for lung cancer. Wood Cancer Center in August of 2016. He is on the Board of Directors for the Glens Falls Hospital Foundation and is an active member of the Cancer Committee – serving as the Cancer Liaison and Medical Oncologist. Dr. Mason is the Physician Champion for clinical research for hematologic cancers - lymphoma and myeloma. He served as the Associate Medical Director from January of 2013 and became the Medical Director in July of 2015. He is the Chair of the Cancer Committee and is an active member of the Medical Group Steering Committee and the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. Dr. Stoutenburg is the Physician Champion for clinical research for genitourinary and gynecological cancers. Your Comprehensive Care Team MENTAL HEALTHKate Lail, MHC Kate is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor that specializes in working with patients and families after a diagnosis of cancer. This includes identifying and addressing psychological and social distress related to a cancer diagnosis, the stress of medical treatment, emotional needs, and concerns with relationships and caregiving. Kate has a special interest in caregiver support, is experienced in both inpatient and outpatient settings, and meets with patients in a one-on-one or group setting. Kate graduated from Medaille College and joined the C.R. Wood Cancer Center in 2018. ONCOLOGY GENETICS COUNSELOR Rebecca Kerr, MSc, GC, CCGCRebecca is an Oncology Genetics Counselor who works with people to determine their hereditary risk factors for genetic testing. Rebecca meets patients one on one and helps patients and facilitates genetic testing for those whom meet high risk criteria. Rebecca has worked at the C.R. Wood Cancer Center since 2015.FINANCIAL NAVIGATORElizabeth McCauleyElizabeth works as the financial navigator at the CR Wood Cancer Center. Elizabeth assesses all insurance, out-of-pocket costs, and helps find assistance programs for patient as qualified. Elizabeth has worked for the C.R. Wood Cancer Center since 2018.REGISTERED DIETITIAN- BOARD CERTIFIED SPECIALIST IN ONCOLOGY NUTRITIONAndrea Chowske, RD, CSO, CDNAndrea works with patients who are malnourished or at risk for malnutrition to maintain their nutritional status during treatment. She provides nutritional counseling to help manage nutrition symptoms, assist with healthy eating during and after treatment, and management of feeding tubes. Andrea Chowske has been a Registered Dietitian since 2011 and is a Board-Certified Specialist in Oncology Nutrition. NURSE NAVIGATORSVickie Yattaw, RN, BSN, OCN Vickie is the Manager of the Oncology Education and Support Services program and works as a nurse navigator for patients after a diagnosis of cancer. Vickie helps coordinate care across the cancer continuum and facilitates groups and survivorship events at the C.R. Wood Cancer Center. Vickie has a special interest in Lung and Head and Neck cancers. Vickie has worked for the C.R. Wood Cancer Center since 2005. Lisa Haase, RN, BSN, OCN Lisa works as a nurse navigator for patients after a diagnosis of cancer. Lisa helps coordinate care across the cancer continuum and facilitates groups, retreats, and survivorship events at the C.R. Wood Cancer Center. Lisa has a special interest in Breast, GYN, and Brain cancers. Lisa has worked for the C.R. Wood Cancer Center since 2014.Nicole Molinero, RN, OCN Nicole works as a nurse navigator for patients after a diagnosis of cancer. Nicole helps coordinate care from the inpatient floor to the outpatient clinic and beyond. Nicole has a special interest in GI and GU cancers. Nicole has worked for the C.R. Wood Cancer Center since 2014.
