Join us in congratulating our nine awardees representing eight states! Learn about the Awardees America's Service Commissions Uniting States in Service For over 25 years, America's Service Commissions (ASC) has been a vital part of the national and community service ecosystem. As a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization, ASC acts as the collective voice representing the 52 governor-led state and territorial service commissions and more than 1,000 commissioners across the United States. Collectively, these 52 service commissions administer more than 80% of AmeriCorps State and National grants and support over 40,000 AmeriCorps members — individuals of all ages turning their passions into service, kickstarting their careers, and making an impact in their communities. Service commissions are a vital resource that help governors tap the power of citizen volunteers, like AmeriCorps members, to meet local needs and solve local problems; strengthen communities; and spur innovative state policy ideas aimed at growing and advancing service and volunteerism at the local level. Browse our website and learn more about us and our initiatives, discover the work of service commissions, and tap into our toolkits and resources. At our core, we are a membership organization, and we invite you to join us and be part of the collective voice supporting local communities through service. There is much you can do to make an impact through ASC — support public policy that advances national service, attend a training webinar, join one of our work groups or learning communities, post a position on our job board, or support our work with a personal donation. Welcome! We're glad you're here. Watch the video below to hear some of our members and partners describe who ASC is, what we do, and how we make a difference. Donate Now Funding Partners We're thankful to partner with philanthropic foundations to support service commissions and the national service network. The Allstate Foundation's generous funding enables service commissions to support youth commissioners and champion youth-led service initiatives. Ballmer Group's support allows ASC to advance public policy efforts that expand the number of service opportunities and make national service more equitable. Thanks to the Mott Foundation, service commissions have been able to expand and deepen youth service, service-learning, and connections with afterschool networks. The Schultz Foundation supports innovations among service commissions and provides critical funding for members facing emergencies during their service terms.
