My name is Gavin and along with my wife, Elis, I started Queer Family Planning Project to help people like us start families. I am a Trans man, so when we decided that we wanted kids, we had to take a nontraditional approach for Elis to get pregnant.  We were very fortunate with the first go-around -- Elis  got pregnant from her very first insemination and then came Finnegan! Our insurance at the time covered all the costs except for the donor sperm. This time around, however, we have not been so lucky.
