Today, joined together in the Association of American Chambers of Commerce in Latin America and the Caribbean, these 23 AmChams represent more than 20,000 companies and over 80% of U.S. investment in the region. Policy Overview AACCLA forms its policy objectives through constant dialogue with its network of 23 AmChams in almost every country in Latin America. These consultations enable AACCLA to identify the most important issues to U.S. investors and their trading partners and to lobby effectively for policies that will address these concerns. AmChams Overview AmChams play an important role as links between the private sector and the governments in their host countries and in the United States. Their unique positioning enables them to effectively lobby for the interests and needs of their members.
